Check the charger before you replace the battery
A UPS battery that failed in a year rarely failed on its own. The common causes are a charger holding the battery at too high a float voltage, a UPS installed somewhere hot with no ventilation, or a unit that was undersized and therefore always running at full load. Fit a new battery without addressing that and you will be back in a year.
So we start by measuring what the UPS is actually putting into the battery and where the unit is installed. Sometimes the fix is moving the UPS out of an enclosed cabinet.

Sealed maintenance-free (SMF) batteries suit indoor spaces where you do not want to handle electrolyte — offices, shop counters, anywhere the unit sits under a desk. They need no water top-ups. Tubular UPS batteries hold up better where cuts are long and the battery is discharged deeply and often, which is why many Noida homes with a UPS-style backup end up on tubular.
